How it all works
It starts with the truth
Before your athlete attends a single coaching session, we need to know exactly where they stand.
The process
Nine steps, four weeks, one standard
- 01
40-question performance assessment
It starts with the truth. Before your athlete attends a single coaching session, we need to know exactly where they stand. That means a comprehensive 40-question performance assessment across all four H.O.P.E. pillars: Habits, Ownership, Purpose, and Execution. We are not guessing. We are not generalizing. We are identifying the exact gaps that are holding your athlete back.
- 02
Personalized development profile
We build a development profile around what we find in the assessment. No two athletes are the same, and no two plans will ever look the same.
- 03
Mentor matching
Your athlete is matched with a trained upperclass student-athlete mentor, someone from Steele or Clemens High School who has walked the same hallways, faced the same pressures, and understands what it takes to compete at this level.
- 04
Weekly sessions in a real environment
They meet weekly for dedicated one-on-one time. Long enough to go deep, focused enough to drive real progress. Our staff is not hands-off. They remain directly involved with both the mentor and the mentee throughout the program, guiding the process, monitoring growth, and upholding the standard. With the full support of the school administration, H.O.P.E. Leadership Group utilizes a designated space inside Steele High School as our centralized hub for weekly mentorship sessions, guest speakers, and workshops across the district.
- 05
Daily self-check
Between meetings, every athlete completes a daily self-check, scoring themselves on each H.O.P.E. pillar at the end of each day. This is where the accountability muscle gets built. This is where the work becomes a habit instead of an event. And it gives us real, consistent data to coach from, not assumptions, not feelings, not guesses.
- 06
Parent updates
Throughout all of it, you are never left wondering. Parents receive a brief update after every session.
- 07
Focused four-week cohort
This intensive experience runs as a focused 4-week cohort — a critical launchpad designed to set up the habits they need to successfully navigate their entire middle school, high school, and college transitions.
- 08
Final written report
At the end of the four weeks, you receive a full written Final Report documenting your athlete’s progress, development, and next steps. When it serves your athlete, we communicate directly with SCUCISD school staff and coaches to make sure every person in their corner is aligned and informed.
- 09
Cohort capped at 15 athletes
Cohort sizes are capped at 15 athletes. That is not a marketing line. That is a commitment. Your student-athlete is a priority in this program, not a number filling a seat.
The outcome
Not just on game day. Every day.
Four weeks from your start date, your athlete will walk away with something most athletes never develop: a clear picture of who they are, what drives them, and the mental tools to perform at their standard every single day. Not just on game day. Every day! That is what H.O.P.E. Leadership Group builds.
